By collecting pre-and post-consumer materials, we have created the first totally sustainable roof slab made from waste materials, including some that have never been recycled before. One of these is Tetrapak, thanks to a patented process that made it possible to break it down.
The whole process originates from an ordinary milk carton,
which is dissolved using a patented mechanical procedure.
Polyethylene (PE) and aluminum are then ground
and mixed with other plastic waste and then densified into a fluid compound.
The mixture is then pressed through a metal filter to remove most of the aluminum and other residues unsuitable for the end-use,
resulting in the plastic material of the Shelltec roof slab.
The first co-extruded multi-layer slab affordable eco-friendly thermo-acoustic insulating solid and manageable
which protects the surrounding spaces and ecosystem.
